Benefits:

  • Eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or salary increases in accordance with company policy.
  • Eligible for Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance and Disability Insurance.
  • $ 5.00 per hour for the night premium (7pm to 7am)
  • $ 1.00 Refrigeration License B
  • Up to 5% quarterly BTIP bonus based on company targets (ex. $43.00+5%= $45.67 per hour if we hit our targets)
  • $500 annual tool allowance (receipts required for reimbursement)
  • $199 + tax annual boot allowance (through our vendor only – keep receipts for reimbursement)
  • $200 referral bonus for applicable candidates
  • Pension plan, after 1-year Wonderbrands will match up to 2% and it can increase based on age/years of service
  • 2 weeks’ vacation per year to start
  • 3 paid sick days per year

Duties:

  • Repairing, troubleshooting and installation of electrical wiring and machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.
  • Maintain, repair, install and test PLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment; weight scales VFD, Servomotors and network communications experience.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Testing electrical wiring of automated systems and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
  • Optimizing equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules
  • Complying with all applicable legislative and Bakery food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Servicing, cleaning and performing preventative maintenance and overhaul on all production and bakery equipment, and keeping maintenance records
  • Continually improving equipment function via design improvements
  • Ensuring that work area is clean of debris and hazards at all times and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work
  • Working in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards
  • Performing other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Industrial Electrician License (442A) or 309A is required
  • 3+ years of industrial, electrical and mechanical experience
  • Previous experience in a Food manufacturing environment
  • General knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and ability to assist all trades people as required
  • Problem solving skills and good communication skills are required
  • Comfortable using computers
  • Ability to work well within a team and independently
  • Comfortable with occasional heavy lifting up to 50 lbs
  • You really enjoy working in a fast paced environment where every day can bring new and unique challenges
  • Ability to work a flexible shift day/afternoon/night, Sunday to Saturday.
  • Refrigeration Operator license an asset
