Job Location Albany, NY 12205 Position Type Full-Time Salary Range $120,000.00 - $120,000.00 Salary/year Job Shift Day

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for establishing, providing and implementing quality trauma-informed evaluation services to youth and families consistent with agency mission, vision and values.

This position does require evening hours in the week periodically.

Job Responsibilities

  • Using trauma-informed practices, evaluate, counsel and provide evaluations for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and behavioral disorders. Provide these services for individuals and groups.
  • Administer and interpret tests of mental abilities and aptitudes, interests, psychological status, personality, emotions, and motivation.
  • Assist treatment team members in formulation of diagnoses and individualized treatment planning.
  • Provides 29i and CFTSS services according to treatment needs.
  • Developing evaluations to assist in developing skills for children/youth as defined on treatment goals
  • Providing psychiatric supports to youth and families.
  • Interfaces with internal and external programs/stakeholders including but not limited to county caseworker/representatives for purpose of treatment planning.
  • Responds to crisis situations including de-escalating and engaging youth and family; processing said incidents and/or developing safety plans as required.
  • Partners with team members to coordinate clinical services to youth and families that support permanent and reunification planning while preparing youth for the future.
  • Provides clinical consultation and evaluate progress and adjust the clinical services, as necessary.
  • Ensures all 29i Other Limited Health Services and CFTSS are delivered in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, completes, maintains and tracks all mandatory appropriate documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining paperwork in accordance with regulations and auditing and billing requirements in all youth and family charts.
  • Attends internal and external meetings including but not limited to Treatment team meetings, SPR. supervision and team meetings. Prepares required documentation for all meetings.
  • Represents agency in professional manner.
  • Participates and collaborates on pre-admission including engaging youth and families as early as possible.
  • Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Clinical Psychologist or Limited Permit with a supervising Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
  • Experience working with vulnerable youth and families preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, outside of normal business hours including nights, weekends and possibly on-call, as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license. Travel required.
  • Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm with a flexible schedule as needed.
  • NO on-call responsibilities, NO holidays!
