People may come in for a haircut, but they return because they trust the person behind the chair. Hammer & Nails Annapolis is hiring barbers who care about their craft, pay attention to the details, and know how to make guests feel comfortable. You do not need to bring an established book of business.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide consultations, precision cuts, fades, shear work, beard grooming, and services permitted by your license and training.
• Deliver a consistent Hammer & Nails experience using premium products and finishing details.
• Recommend services, memberships, and home-care products when they fit the guest's needs.
• Maintain guest notes, encourage rebooking, and build long-term relationships.
• Keep your station, tools, and shared work areas clean and compliant with Maryland sanitation requirements.
• Work closely with the concierge and other service providers to keep the day running smoothly.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• An active Maryland barber license, or eligibility to be licensed by the anticipated start date.
• Solid technical fundamentals and a willingness to continue learning.
• Professionalism, reliability, and a genuine interest in guest service.
• Evening and weekend availability.
• Experienced barbers, newly licensed graduates, and students nearing completion of an approved program are encouraged to apply.
