Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and execution of the soybean licensing business, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with companies, customers, and key stakeholders across the agricultural value chain.

  • Oversee complex licensing negotiations, commercial agreements, royalty structures, and portfolio expansion initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, intellectual property requirements, and seed industry governance.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Breeding, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Legal, and Finance teams to enable business performance and portfolio execution.

  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities to strengthen the company’s position in the soybean segment.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and customer focus.

  • Influence strategic business decisions and represent the organization in key industry, customer, and institutional discussions.

  • Drive operational excellence, business planning, and execution of long-term commercial strategies aligned with corporate objectives.

  • Manage a highly complex business environment involving biotechnology, germplasm, licensing models, regulatory exposure, and strategic customer relationships.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Extensive experience in agribusiness, seeds, biotechnology, or agricultural licensing businesses, preferably within the soybean segment.

  • Proven track record leading complex commercial negotiations, licensing agreements, and strategic customer partnerships.

  • Strong understanding of the seed industry, soybean market dynamics, germplasm, biotechnology traits, and royalty-based business models.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, portfolio expansion, and long-term commercial strategies.

  • Experience leading high-performing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in matrix organizations.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution.

  • Knowledge of agricultural regulations, intellectual property, compliance, and seed industry governance.

  • Executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in highly complex, fast-paced, and evolving business environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.

  • Advanced English proficiency required.
