Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join the UCLA Student Health Program. You will provide therapy to UCLA students referred by the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Primary duties include:

o Providing clinical evaluation of new patients, assessing suitability for outpatient therapeutic care, and need for additional mental health services including psychiatric intervention

o Formulating treatment plans based on assessment

o Providing individual, couple, and/or group psychotherapy for patients

o Documenting and entering patient information into medical record

o Evaluating and referring patients for additional or alternative modes of care

Salary: $55.63/hr - $66.48/hr

Job Qualifications


Master's degree in Psychology, social work or related mental health field

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California

Experience and skill in interacting with professional healthcare providers in a multidisciplinary setting

Ability to develop rapport and working therapeutic alliances with patients

Timely completion of documentation

Working knowledge of general theoretical and clinical models

Must have strong computer skills

Able to learn/master UCLA CareConnect software

Strong self-management and organizational skills to successfully meet job responsibilities

Excellent oral and written expression skills, especially in behaviorally specific treatment planning
