  • Learning Resources Team (UQ Library).

  • Shape the student experience by delivering high-quality, innovative library support in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

  • Part-time (20% fixed-term position until end of December 2026.

  • Base salary will be in the range $77,545 - $82,218 + 17% super (HEW Level 4)

  • Based at our Vibrant St Lucia Campus.

About This Opportunity

We have an exciting approximate 6 month fixed-term opportunity as a Library Services Officer to join our dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional support to students and academics. You’ll play an important part in enabling learning, teaching, and research, while helping shape innovative and responsive library services.


Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you’ll bring your problem-solving skills, adaptability, and commitment to great service to help enhance the library experience for our UQ community.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality advice and support on library resources, systems, and services.

  • Responding to client enquiries and resolving issues, including basic IT support, with escalation where required.

  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues, coordinating workflows, and assisting with small projects.

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, procedural documentation, and service enhancements.

About You

  • Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience with a strong record of service delivery

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality results with attention to detail and ownership of tasks

  • Strong digital and technology skills, including familiarity with library systems and software applications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear expression

  • Collaborative and adaptable team player, thriving in changing environments and supporting team goals

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
