The NASCAR Content Academy is a 1-year immersive development program designed to launch careers in sports media and production. Participants gain hands-on experience across NASCAR Studios and NASCAR Productions, working on content that powers race broadcasts, digital platforms, and original programming. As part of this program, the Library Coordinator role offers a unique opportunity to support content research, editing, and archival organization, and to play a key role in preserving and preparing media assets used across NASCAR’s content ecosystem.This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to build foundational production skills, gain exposure to multiple studio production teams, and develop within the fast-paced world of motorsports storytelling.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Research, log, and perform basic editing of footage for clip reels and special projects
Process requests and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Catalog, track, andlocatephysical tapes and media across onsite and offsite storage locations using theXytechsystem
UtilizeXytechto manage work orders, track requests, and document workflows
Organize andmaintainarchive materials to support production and long-term asset preservation
Catalog field footage using the Perfect Memory Media Asset Management System, including tagging, metadata entry, andidentifyingedit points
Assist Production and Production Services teams with logging and editing content for projects and programming
Cut down and quality control full races for the NASCAR Classics platform
Support content preparation for the NASCAR FAST Channel, including pre-produced content and race edits
Provide backup coverage for the department, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Rotate throughotherteams to gain exposure to workflows and production processes
Support production activities including social/digital content, live event support, graphics, and studio operations
Assistwith live production needs such as teleprompter operation, commercial break insertion, and event support
Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required skills / experience:
High school diploma(or equivalent),2+ years of experience in broadcast, new media, journalism, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic knowledge of video editing and production workflows
Experience with Mac OS preferred; familiarity with Perfect Memory, Adobe Premiere,Xytech, Photoshop, After Effects, or HTML is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to conductaccurateresearch and manage large volumes of content
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Basic typing, spelling, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of NASCAR and the motorsports industry, including its history and personalities, is preferred
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
