We are seeking a Library and Council Services Assistant to join our team on a fixed term, part-time (24 hours per week) basis, primarily based at Devonport Library within the Devonport–Takapuna Local Board. This role includes a regular weekend shift. This fixed-term role will end in April 2027.
Devonport Community Library is a busy library that serves a diverse and vibrant community. Our library whānau is committed to caring for each other, our community, and our environment. We are looking for a flexible, all-round team player to join our high-achieving, cohesive, and dynamic team. In this role, you will support the team and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the library. As a front-facing customer service position, you will be assisting customers from all walks of life.
Many of our libraries operate seven days a week, so flexibility with working hours—including weekends and late nights—is essential.

Salary: $65k – $69k per annum pro rata - depending on skills and experience
