
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
The opportunity has arisen to work as a Library & Council Services Assistant in the Whau Local Board Libraries, based at Avondale Library. This will require you to be flexible as you may need to work from other sites within the local board area, such as Blockhouse Bay and New Lynn.
Avondale Library is a busy community library serving a diverse and vibrant community. Our library whānau is focused on caring for each other, our community, and our environment. We are looking for a flexible all-rounder to join and contribute as part of a high-achieving, cohesive, and dynamic team. You will be contributing to the day-to-day running of the library and supporting our programmes and events. As this is a customer service role, you will be helpingcustomers from all walks of life.
Many of our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days, including weekends and late nights, is required. We are looking to fill a 22-hour permanent part-time role. Shifts below:

Salary: This role is salary band E, we expect to appoint the successful candidate at a salary of between $65-$77K depending upon skills & experience.
