[What the role is]

NYP Library is seeking Librarian/Senior Librarian to support the management and provision of library resources and services for the NYP community to meet their teaching and learning needs.

[What you will be working on]

• Administer, manage and enhance library management systems, including discovery search system, resource proxy system, library website, IT security and related functions.
• Plan, coordinate and perform collection development and management functions to facilitate provision of resources.
• Curate resources to provide industry insights and develop contents on various subject areas to meet teaching, learning and research needs.
• Subject Resource Librarian to engage Schools/Departments and support their information and curriculum requirements such as curation, information/digital literacy training, etc.
• Administer, manage and enhance frontline circulation services.
• Coordinate, maintain and oversee physical and electronic records/files to support NYP records management functions.
• Develop and deliver digital and physical library events, training sessions and promotional activities to foster collaboration between NYP Library and stakeholders.
• Lead and/or participate in projects, task forces and committees in support of NYP/library initiatives.
• Recommend solutions to streamline workflows for efficiency and perform any other related duties as assigned.

[What we are looking for]

• Relevant qualification in Library and/or Information Science, preferably with knowledge of library management systems, basic programming (e.g. HTML, XML, Java, Python), PC/server maintenance, MS Window operating system and software applications, project coordination and management, system integration, networking fundamentals.
• At least 3 to 4 years of experience, preferably in library field.
• Proficiency with tools and technologies to support new digital initiatives will be an added advantage.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills
• Effective team player who is detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Good engagement, communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills.
