PAY RANGE - $62,628.80 - $89,273.60/yr - plus a comprehensive benefits package
Provides specialized public library services; performs directly related work as required.
The principal function of an employee in this class is to provide library services requiring a high level of expertise and experience. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of a Librarian III, but considerable leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative. This class differs from that of Librarian I by the responsibility for staff direction and/or exercise of a high level of technical specialization. Direction is exercised over the work of Librarian I’s, Assistant Librarians, Library Technicians, Administrative Assistant I, Library Pages, Library Volunteers and Interns. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this class establish and maintain effective working relationships with other library employees, and the general public. The principal duties of this class are performed in a public service or general office environment.
