ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides professional library services to students, faculty and staff.
- Provides library instruction to students and faculty through individual consultations and classroom presentations.
- Participates in embedded librarian program as needed.
- Participates in developing informational and instructional materials related to library services and resources. Helps develop content for the library website and digital services.
- Participates in library collection management and resource sharing, including cataloging and interlibrary loans.
- Works with library employees to plan, develop, and create displays and programs for the campus library.
- Assists with circulation desk operations.
- Assists with library outreach to full-time and adjunct faculty.
- Serves on committees and participates in College initiatives as needed.
- Participates in professional activities, ongoing continuing education, and maintains familiarity with theory, practices, and trends in academic libraries.
- Collaborate with Audiovisual Technicians as needed to provide AV supports.
- Assists with coordination and work of employees in absence of the supervisor.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule, potentially including evening and/or weekend hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Library and/ or Information Science from an American Library Association accredited institution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Ability to provide library instruction, reference support, and research support to students, faculty, staff, and the general public in both a physical and an online environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and members of the public.
- Experience with using library technologies and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a welcoming, student-focused institution.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and problem-solve effectively.

- Professional librarian experience in an academic library.
