We’re looking for a Liaison Officer to join our Capital Delivery SMT Support Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with an anticipated January or February start.
Working 37 hours per week, you’ll provide communications, project and administrative support across Capital Delivery. You’ll produce our weekly departmental newsletter, coordinate colleague communications and events, maintain distribution lists and online content, and help senior leaders present clear, engaging messages.
You’ll also provide diary management and administrative support to senior leaders, facilitate meetings and support the Contract Approval Board team.
You’ll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. We value in-person moments that keep our culture alive, while understanding the flexibility that working from home can bring. This is an office-based role at our Severn Trent Centre (STC) in Coventry.
You’ll have experience in administration, supporting teams or senior individuals, together with experience producing communications and engaging stakeholders. Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential, alongside clear written and verbal communication.
You’ll be organised, comfortable managing competing priorities and able to build relationships at all levels. You’ll work well independently and as part of a team, bringing flexibility and attention to detail. An A-level or equivalent qualification is required. Knowledge of SharePoint or previous utilities experience would be helpful but isn’t essential.
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality

Water is wonderful. Without it we’d be lost. With it, everything’s possible. For every toothbrush, for every loo flushed. For the hot showers, the cool drinks, the cups of tea. But it’s not just at the heart of our homes. It’s at the heart of everything; our schools, our businesses, our hospitals. Saving lives, helping communities thrive.
We’re Severn Trent, a diverse and amazing group of people who want to keep it that way. We bring you clean water and we take it away safely too. But it’s not just what we do. It’s how we do it: not just talking, but going over and above. Stepping up and rolling our sleeves up.
It’s because we care. Not only about our water but our corner of the country. And we care for our amazing people who make all this possible. Don’t just take our word for it; we’re a Glassdoor Top 50 Company – one of the best employers in the UK right now.
At Severn Trent, we do more, because we care.
