The Opportunity

Everest Insurance is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Liability Claims Analyst to join our Montreal Claims team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of commercial liability claims ranging from routine matters to more complex exposures. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional service, analyzing coverage, evaluating liability, and driving timely claim resolution.

What You'll Do

  • Handle commercial liability claims from initial notification through resolution.

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims in a timely and effective manner.

  • Analyze policy language and determine applicable coverage.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves throughout the life of the claim.

  • Monitor claim strategy and ensure prompt resolution while balancing customer service and business objectives.

  • Communicate proactively with insureds, brokers, legal counsel, and other stakeholders.

  • Partner with defense counsel, independent adjusters, experts, appraisers, and other service providers to achieve effective claim outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate claim documentation and comply with regulatory and company standards.

  • Support internal business partners and participate in client and broker-facing initiatives when needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Professional fluency in French and English (written and verbal).

  • College diploma, university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 1 year of claims handling or claims management experience

  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex issues and provide well-reasoned recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong customer service mindset and collaborative approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Legal education or experience.

  • AMF Claims Adjustment Certification (Commercial Lines) or membership with the Barreau du Québec.

  • Experience handling liability or commercial lines claims.

Everest Assurance est à la recherche d’un(e) analyste en réclamations – responsabilité civile pour joindre son équipe de Montréal. Dans ce rôle, vous gérerez un portefeuille de réclamations en responsabilité civile commerciale, allant de dossiers courants à des sinistres plus complexes.

Vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans l’analyse de la couverture, l’évaluation de la responsabilité, la gestion des réclamations et la prestation d’un service exceptionnel à nos clients et partenaires.

Ce que vous ferez

  • Gérer les réclamations en responsabilité civile commerciale de l’ouverture jusqu’au règlement.

  • Mener les enquêtes, analyser les faits, évaluer les dommages et négocier les règlements.

  • Interpréter les polices d’assurance et déterminer la portée de la couverture.

  • Établir et ajuster les réserves financières de manière proactive et en temps opportun.

  • Assurer le règlement efficace et rapide des dossiers.

  • Maintenir des communications régulières avec les assurés, courtiers, avocats et autres intervenants.

  • Collaborer étroitement avec les experts en sinistres indépendants, conseillers juridiques, évaluateurs et autres fournisseurs externes.

  • Assurer une documentation rigoureuse des dossiers et le respect des exigences réglementaires et internes.

  • Participer, au besoin, aux initiatives de développement des affaires et de service à la clientèle.

Ce que vous apportez

  • Excellente maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.

  • Diplôme universitaire, collégial ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.

  • Minimum d’ une année d’expérience en gestion ou traitement des réclamations

  • Solides aptitudes analytiques, organisationnelles et de résolution de problèmes.

  • Excellentes habiletés de communication et capacité à présenter clairement des analyses et recommandations.

  • Capacité à gérer plusieurs dossiers et priorités simultanément.

  • Approche collaborative et orientation client.

Atouts

  • Formation ou expérience juridique.

  • Certificat de l’AMF en expertise en règlement de sinistres (assurance des entreprises) ou adhésion au Barreau du Québec.

  • Expérience en responsabilité civile ou en assurance des entreprises.

The base salary range for this position is CAD 85,000 - CAD 95,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
