We at NKG Vietnam work closely with the local people in the coffee producing areas and buy the green coffee materials directly from the farmers, producers, collectors and suppliers. In our factory we can process more than 35 different exportable qualities. We are able to cater for special client wishes. This includes creating qualities according to specific client requirements: a selected screen size with a chosen percentage of black and broken beans, foreign matters, Excelsa beans and a special percentage of moisture can be delivered without problem. For our group company, NKG Vietnam Company Limited, we are looking for a LIAB Operator and Sustainability Support (f/m/d)
The position will be based in Dak Lak Branch and reports directly to Sustainability Manager

The Lab-in-a-Box (LIAB) Operator is responsible for the setup, calibration, daily operation, and maintenance of portable, modular laboratory units. You will ensure that all analytical equipment (e.g., PCR machines, spectrometers, or environmental sensors) functions correctly in the field to provide high-quality data.

Supporting sustainable coffee programs and related projects.

Your responsibilities

I. Lab-in-a-Box Equipment Operation

1. Deployment & Setup

  • Power & Connectivity: Manage external power sources and establish data uplinks.

  • Environmental Control: Monitor and adjust internal HVAC systems to ensure sensitive reagents and electronics remain within operational temperature ranges.

2. Technical Operations

  • Equipment Calibration: Perform daily startups and standardized calibrations for all analytical instruments.

  • Sample Processing: Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sample preparation and analysis.

  • Data Management: Upload results to centralized databases and maintain meticulous digital logs of all tests performed.

  • Communication: Regularly communicate with the centralized databases team for remote technical support

3. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Preventative Care: Conduct routine cleaning and part replacement to prevent equipment failure.

  • Inventory Management: Track consumable usage (reagents, tips, PPE) and coordinate restock shipments before supplies run low.

II. Sustainability Support

  • Support sustainability project activities as assigned by HoD.

  • Organize end‑to‑end upcountry visits, including permit application, agenda alignment, stakeholder coordination, and logistics arrangements.

  • Provide on‑site support for project teams and visitors to ensure smooth execution of field activities.

  • Develop SOPs, checklists, and operational guidelines to improve process efficiency and visit quality.

  • Other tasks assigned by your superiors.


Your profile

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Fluency in both Vietnamese and English

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, International Development, or a related field.

  • 3+ years in the coffee supply chain, sustainability, or related projects

  • Understanding of Regenerative Agriculture and the social field.

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, Wi-Fi/Satellite configurations, and mechanical troubleshooting

PERSONAL SKILLS

  • High adaptability, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication and adaptability
