As a Security Officer at the Longhouse Market, you will protect and safeguard Longhouse Market property, customers, and staff. Provide a uniformed presence for direction and protection of customers and employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform normal to emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertion.
- Ability to deal with internal/external "customers," some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve problems and concerns.
- Promote customer satisfaction through assistance, direction, information and respond to customer inquiries.
- Observe all surface parking areas.
- Provide assistance to every department within the Longhouse Market.
- Safeguard and protect property, assets, customers, and employees.
- Distribute, stock and replenish on the job injury packets.
- Report any unusual activity, occurrence, or incidents on the part of any customer or employee to the shift supervisor immediately.
- Document and file accurate and truthful incident reports, various logbooks, and other legal documents.
- Provide basic firefighting, first aid and safety response.
- Oversee EMS services.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- One-year public relations and security experience preferred.
- Knowledge of safety/security practices and procedures including: emergency first aid, CPR, emergency evacuation, defibrillator, and basic emergency fire equipment.
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
- Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
