LGV 1 Artic Driver

Location: Lean Transfer Station in Liskeard Cornwall

Pay: £17.17p/h

Shift: Monday to Friday

Start Time: 06:00

We are currently seeking a professional and reliable LGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of customers’ waste, while ensuring full compliance with company procedures and health & safety standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely drive and operate LGV Class 1 vehicles as directed by the Traffic Office and Operations Manager.
  • Carry out the efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of customer waste.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Promote safe working practices and report any hazards or near misses.
  • Complete routine vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily timesheets and transport documentation.
  • Provide holiday, sickness, and breakdown cover for colleagues when required.
  • Attend training courses, toolbox talks, and team meetings to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers, delivering excellent customer service at all times.
  • Support the wider operation with any other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous Class 1 driving experience
  • Valid LGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
  • Driver CPC qualification
  • Experience within the waste industry is desirable but not essential
