This is a VP position within our US Lev Fin team across industry. The candidate will work with the US Lev Fin team and work closely with the portfolio managers in assessing public, liquid credit opportunities. The ideal candidate should be capable of primary credit coverage of a defined list of issuers and will be responsible for rigorous credit-orientated fundamental research across the corporate capital structure. The individual will be monitoring investments for Public High Yield, Leveraged Loan and Long/Short Credit strategies. Generalists could apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental credit research across the corporate capital structure

• Work with a senior analyst in coveringvarious sectors,analyzingand explaining economic,competitiveand political drivers thatimpacta borrower’s credit quality.

• Contribute trade ideas and discuss them with the portfolio managers,participatein relative value and trade structuring discussions

• Interact with management teams, industry sources, other analysts, sell-side analysts, and other investment professionals

• Assimilate and filter various sources of information to developlong term, well-researched investment theses on credits,sectorsand issuers

• Create historical and projected financial models, analyze key financial and operational metrics, develop deep valuation

• Communicate credit opinions and investment recommendations orally and in writing to Portfolio Managers, other analysts, credit and advisory committees and external clients

Skills,experienceand education:

• 7-11years of experience in credit/financial statement analysis, with specific experience analyzing companies, fixed incomesecuritiesand equity investments

• Relevant experience in credit research (sector agnostic)

• MBA or equivalent qualification in Finance with superior academic record; CFA will be an added advantage

• Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills with specific experience in one of several of the following: analyzing companies, fixed incomesecuritiesor equity investments

• Strong Excel, financial modelling, and analytical skills

• Familiarity and experience with bond and loan covenants – familiarity with leveraged loan credits and syndication processes in beneficial but not essential

• Enquiring and analytically minded with a logical and thorough work ethic

• Mustpossessthe desire and ability to work in a team-orientated environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
