TEAM is seeking an entry level individual, has a mechanical aptitude, keen to train and learn to become a Vapor Barrier technician with cross training onto other services available. Must be highly safety-focused with a great work ethic willing to attend training to perform activities that are certified for.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Compliance with all safety procedures and job documentation.
- The primary role is responsible for executing vapor barrier isolation operations for assuring a safe hot work environment and weld integrity for welded piping connections at any facility or client site in accordance with the technician certification following company processes and procedures, achieve or exceed quality expectations for:
- Safely install vapor barrier Isolation tools to ensure a proper isolation where the lines cannot be purged free of all gas vapors.
- Perform localized hydrostatic testing and partial system hydrostatic testing to ensure the integrity of welded connections.
- Execute isolation and hydrostatic weld testing services in accordance with the approved site and company procedures.
- The technician is directly responsible for the execution of the services in accordance with the requirements of the site and team processes and procedures.
- Attend and complete the required training to maintain competence and to continuously improve their skills and levels of competence and knowledge.
- Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
- Documents vapor barrier service records and activities as required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to investigations.
- Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to perform routine office duties.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
Work Conditions
- Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
- Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
- May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Technical school, Industry or relevant training preferred
- One or more years of experience is preferred.
- Driving License, TWIC Card, preferred.
Additional Job Description:
Anticipated compensation for this role is $62,400.00 – $72,800.00 per year plus benefits.
Note: Disclosure as required by Cal. Lab. Code § 432.3 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in California. Team reserves the right to pay more or less than the pasted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
