Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Level 2) – Corpus Christi, TX

Location: Corpus Christi, Tx (travel required to job sites)

Pay: $75,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime/weekends as needed)

Position Summary

Ragle Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, hardworking Level 2 Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a large heavy machinery fleet. This is a field-based position requiring travel to various project sites throughout the Corpus Christi, Tx and other areas to complete service calls on company-owned equipment.

Equipment includes excavators, skid steers, rollers, and more (John Deere, JLG, Sakai, Gomaco, Terex, CAT, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Travel to job sites to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime
  • Diagnose engine, hydraulic, and electrical system issues
  • Use hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to remove and replace parts
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and job site requirements
  • Complete service paperwork and documentation as assigned
  • Maintain schedules and priorities communicated by project management
  • Monitor equipment for defects and recommend repairs/replacements as needed
  • Maintain quality control standards at each project site
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
  • 3+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in engine, hydraulic, and electrical circuits
  • CAT SIS and CAT ET experience preferred
  • Experience working on various makes/models of heavy and small equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus (not required)
  • Must provide own tools necessary to complete job duties

  • During slow periods, may be required to work out of our shop
