The Level 2-3 Installer will perform all basic and intermediate installation work activities in central office environments. The Installer will be coached and mentored as needed.
Skills/General Duties:
The Installer must clearly understand the installation and decommissioning of data center equipment.
This includes: Labeling - create and apply accurate labels to cables and equipment; installing various types of cables (including fiber optic and copper) while adhering to industry standards and color codes; terminating RJ45 connectors on cables (to ensure reliable network connections); and working with power distribution units (PDUs), fiber optic cables, copper cables, and patch panels to ensure optimal network performance (preferred skill).
