The LEUKINE® Melanoma Program Team Leader (PTL) is the end-to-end business owner responsible for launch readiness of LEUKINE® in metastatic melanoma, starting with a focus on supply chain and regulatory readiness. The PTL will be accountable for the product’s performance across the full lifecycle, from late-stage development and registration through launch and commercialization to lifecycle expansion and supply continuity. A matrixed leader, the PTL is responsible for closely aligning with functional leaders to ensure program objectives are met.

This role carries full P&L responsibility and operates as the program’s general manager, integrating strategy and execution across CMC/Supply Chain, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial functions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Accountability & P&L Ownership

  • Owns full P&L including revenue, gross-to-net, operating expenses, and profitability with an initial focus on launch investment prioritization and management
  • Leads integrated launch planning across all elements of the supply chain, regulatory, development, medical affairs and commercial defining clear deliverables and accountability
  • Plans and executes on the most optimal launch that maximizes market uptake, patient adoption/convenience, guideline adoption as well as generation of value for PTx
  • Drives forecasting, scenario planning, and risk management
  • Authors key product development plans with clear goals, timelines, go/no-go decision points and target product profiles for clarity across the organization
  • Oversees execution of plan deliverables and implements subteams as needed
  • Chairs cross-functional melanoma program team and ensures alignment across functions and key interdependencies
  • Presents regular updates to Executive Leadership Team
  • Develops and executes communication plan (including publications, presentations, and press relations).

Supply Chain Readiness

  • Ensures supply readiness and lifecycle supply reliability for melanoma launch
  • Ensures clear regulatory strategies to support new manufacturing process and new presentation at launch in US, EU, Australia and other target markets
  • Evaluates path to create a new sargramostim brand for melanoma (e.g. formulation, flat dosing, presentation) and relevant regulatory strategy
  • Ensures clear presentation lifecycle strategy, including DoW funded autoinjector. Garners customer insight to guide presentation decisions.
  • Manages capacity, inventory, and manufacturing risks
  • Registration Strategy
  • Defines approval strategy and labeling approach in US and ex-US as well as optimal launch sequence
  • Aligns regulatory strategy with access and commercial needs and articulates plans to fill gaps
  • Ensures on time submission of key regulatory filings per plan

Development

  • Defines labeling strategy
  • Identifies and articulates plan to fill registration gaps in key markets
  • Prepares development plan to expand indications

Pre-Launch and Launch Readiness

  • Shapes integrated pre-launch strategy and launch strategy as well as tactics in partnership with all key stakeholders; ensures aligned prioritization of cross-functional tactics to realize plan, including launch sequence
  • Sets revenue targets and aligns incentives
  • Defines global pricing strategy with Market Access team
  • Ensures that all launch activities are designed and executed in full alignment with applicable US and international regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in leadership or management consulting roles within biopharma industry primarily in team leadership, portfolio or program management (Master’s degree or equivalent in related field may substitute for 3 years of professional experience; terminal degree may substitute for 5 years of professional experience.)

Preferred:

  • Advanced professional degree in life sciences (Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D., MBA)

PTx is committed to the principles of pay equity and providing competitive compensation for all of our Partners. The current pay range for this position is $200,000 - $280,000: Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Your salary will vary depending on several factors including your qualifications and experience.
