
The UM-Flint School of Nursing has a LEO Lecturer I opening for the winter 2027 semester teaching NSC 503 - Pathophysiology for Advanced Practice Professionals. This is a three-credit hour online theory course (20% effort) that requires asynchronous and synchronous meetings The winter 2027 semester begins on January 4, 2027.
Course description This course covers the study of the underlying processes and mechanisms associated with pathophysiological changes in the human body, based on human anatomy and physiology. This course is designed to assist students in understanding the various physiological changes encountered in clinical practice and provide them a basis for assessment and subsequent planning.

Required Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in nursing (DNP, EdD, or PhD), physiology, biomedical sciences, medicine, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated expertise in human physiology and disease mechanisms, connecting clearly to the profession of nursing

Modes of Work
Mobile/Remote
The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be completed offsite. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements, but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis.
