Job Description

The Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan invites applications for a full-time (100%) Lecturer I position in Hebrew Language starting in Fall 2025.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instructionatanyassignedlevel of Hebrew language andactiveinvolvementinteamworkandprogramaffairs.

Qualifications

ExperienceinteachingHebrewlanguageatthecollege/universitylevelandanMAinarelevant field such as the following language pedagogy (preferably in Hebrew language), second language acquisition, or linguistics is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with contemporary second language teaching methodologies, instructional technologies, heritage/non-heritage teaching, and curriculum development.
