
The UM-Flint School of Nursing has a LEO Intermittent Lecturer opening for the winter 2027 semester, teaching NUR 524 (Management of Acute/Chronic Problems Across the Lifespan - Theory). This is a 4-credit online course (26.66% effort) starting January 6, 2027 and ending April 24, 2027. This is a 15-week course.
Course description This course covers the investigation of theories from physical, behavioral, and social sciences related to health promotion, illness prevention, diagnosis, and the management of common acute/chronic episodic health problems and issues for the adolescent, adult, and older adult. This course will give special attention to problems endemic to underserved populations with health disparities and evidence-based best practices related to health promotion and diagnosis and management of disease and illness. Graded: A, B, C, D, E.

Modes of Work
Mobile/Remote
The work requirements allow for the majority or all of the work to be complete offsite. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements, but is not generally scheduled on a recurring basis.
