We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.

The Lending & Portfolio Services Specialist is a focused professional who thrives in a high‑paced environment. About the qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in an administrative setting.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe catalog.
  • Works well under pressure and with tight deadlines and is able to prioritize tasks in a changing environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in a financial institution preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar position within a mortgage or loan administration department would is an asset.
  • Reconciliation experience an asset.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.

About the day-to-day:

  • Verify EFTs, transfers and wires via various banks, within authority level.
  • Process property taxes on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Support all aspects of daily, monthly, and annual mortgage and consumer lending.
  • Facilitate funding, payment, and processing support for commercial funding.
  • Liaise with various internal departments, as well as external; insurance consultants, CMHC, & servicer partners & mortgage brokers regarding ongoing payments.
  • Facilitate internal/external customer and investor relations and relationship management.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Mortgage policies and procedures on the Portal, company policies and procedures, and the CMHC servicing manual.

About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remote days. Typically, you will work regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with flexibility around start and end times.

Hiring process:

Compensation:

The expected salary for this role is approximately $55,000 - $60,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualification.
