We're currently seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Northaven Community in Kerang on a permanent part-time basis. If you're passionate about aged care and enjoy creating meaningful experiences that make every day special, we'd love to hear from you.

THE ROLE

Your role focuses on developing and delivering personalised social and lifestyle support programs for residents, promoting overall well-being aligned with their unique needs, goals, and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centred lifestyle and wellbeing programs that enhance residents' quality of life.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group activities that promote independence and social connection.
  • Monitor, document and evaluate resident participation and outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and the multidisciplinary care team.
  • Collaborate with staff to deliver holistic, resident-centred care.
  • Identify and report risks, incidents and safety concerns.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of lifestyle programs and resident experiences.
  • Support special events, cultural celebrations and community engagement activities..

ABOUT YOU

You're passionate about improving the lives of older people and bring energy, creativity and compassion to everything you do. You thrive in a team environment, enjoy building meaningful relationships, and are committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care.

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Qualifications in Leisure & Health, Diversional Therapy, Lifestyle & Leisure, Activity Worker, or another relevant health-related discipline.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing), Aged Care, or a higher relevant qualification.
  • Experience working within Aged Care, Community Care or Disability Support (highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Additional qualifications in complementary therapies such as massage, aromatherapy, music, art or other therapeutic activities will be highly regarded.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best.
