Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator

We are seeking Casual Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinators to join our Residential Aged Care team and support the successful implementation of WesleyPlus across our homes.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with residents, the broader care team, and existing Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinators to design and deliver engaging programs that enhance each resident's quality of life. You will play a key role in facilitating MyWay sessions and supporting the integration of WesleyPlus initiatives, ensuring residents receive personalised experiences that reflect their interests, preferences, abilities, and goals.

About the Role

As a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group leisure and lifestyle programs that promote residents' wellbeing and independence. Programs will be tailored to provide psychosocial and physical stimulation and support residents' holistic needs, including their social, cultural, cognitive, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess residents' interests, preferences, strengths, and abilities to develop personalised lifestyle programs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging individual and group activities that promote wellbeing, social connection, and meaningful engagement.
  • Facilitate MyWay sessions and support residents to achieve outcomes that are important to them.
  • Support existing Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinators in implementing WesleyPlus initiatives and embedding person-centred practices.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document resident participation and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and goals.
  • Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive environment that enhances residents' quality of life.

About You

You are passionate about enriching the lives of older people and have the ability to build genuine connections with residents, families, and colleagues. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering person-centred care and lifestyle experiences.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in leisure and lifestyle, recreation, community services, aged care, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to program planning and delivery.
  • The ability to engage residents with diverse needs, backgrounds, and abilities.
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.
  • A commitment to supporting positive ageing and resident choice.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
