Security Supervisor

Build Safer Experiences Every Day

As a Security Supervisor, you'll lead daily security operations across LEGOLAND California Resort, helping ensure the safety of our guests, employees, and property while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Reporting to the Security Operations Manager, you'll oversee a large security team, coordinate incident response, support investigations, and maintain a strong security presence throughout the Resort. You'll also serve as the Security Duty Manager on a rotating basis, providing operational leadership during emergencies and after-hours operations.

What You'll Do

Lead Daily Security Operations

• Supervise security personnel across the Resort.
• Maintain patrol coverage and access control.
• Oversee guest and employee screening checkpoints.
• Support Park Dispatch Center operations.
• Monitor CCTV and security systems.
• Ensure completion of detailed incident and injury reports.
• Manage Lost & Found processing and documentation.
• Support execution of the Resort Emergency Action Plan.
• Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

Respond to Incidents

Oversee response and documentation for:

• Medical emergencies
• Lost children
• Theft and vandalism
• Intoxicated or disorderly guests
• Fire alarms
• Traffic collisions
• Lost & found matters
• Guest and employee safety concerns

Support Emergency Operations

• Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures.
• Deploy security personnel during incidents.
• Maintain crowd control and secure perimeters.
• Coordinate with operations teams and emergency responders.
• Serve as Security Duty Manager on assigned shifts.

Lead Investigations

• Review incident reports for accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct preliminary investigations.
• Gather statements and review CCTV footage.
• Identify trends and recurring issues.
• Escalate findings to leadership when appropriate.

Develop & Support Your Team

• Lead, coach, and motivate security personnel.
• Maintain staffing and operational coverage.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training.
• Reinforce professional appearance and conduct standards.
• Mentor front-line supervisors and shift leaders.

Support the Guest Experience

• Maintain a visible, professional, and approachable presence.
• Assist with guest issues and policy enforcement.
• Coach team members on communication and de-escalation.
• Partner with Resort departments to resolve concerns efficiently.
• Champion a Guest Obsessed culture.

Operational Planning & Readiness

• Manage schedules and daily deployment plans.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
• Monitor radios, PPE, uniforms, vehicles, and equipment.
• Support department resource planning and cost-control efforts.
• Oversee security operations at:
• LEGOLAND Park
• Hotels
• Water Park
• SEA LIFE Aquarium
• Bag Check Areas
• Additional assigned locations

Health & Safety

• Enforce Merlin Health, Safety, and Security standards.
• Identify and report hazards.
• Support safety investigations.
• Coordinate with Health & Safety partners on escalated concerns.

Qualifications & Experience

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

✔ Previous leadership experience in security, law enforcement, military, hospitality, entertainment, or related fields

✔ Must possess a valid California Guard Card or Proprietary Private Security Officer (PSO) Guard Card.✔ CCTV monitoring and surveillance experience is needed

✔ Experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment

✔ Strong investigative and incident management skills

✔ Experience preparing reports and documentation

✔ Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong leadership and team development abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience with CCTV and access control systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting software
• Ability to drive a vehicle
• Knowledge of emergency response and security procedures

Availability Requirements

✅ Must be fully available on weekends

✅ Must be available on holidays

✅ Must be able to work days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require

Pay Range
