Assisted Living and Social Services (ALSS) provides supports for seniors, families, and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, continuing care, financial supports, affordable housing and other social-based programs. The Legislative Analyst plays a critical role in shaping the legislative and regulatory framework for the Ministry of ALSS. This position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and tracking legislation (acts and regulations), Ministerial Orders, Delegation and Designation Orders and other legal instruments that support government priorities.
Reporting to the Manager, Policy Coordination and Legislation, the Legislative Analyst operates with a high degree of independence and collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including legislative counsel, legal advisors and ALSS’s program areas.

Location: 9th floor, 108th Street Building, 9942 - 108 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta T5K 2J5
Selected candidates will be required to complete a written assessment as part of the selection process.
