Your new job includes

During your legal traineeship at Gebr. Heinemann, you will get to know the world of Travel Retail and, together with an international team, support all company departments, particularly Purchasing and Sales, in contractual, commercial, corporate law and compliance matters concerning Gebr. Heinemann and its international subsidiaries.

In particular, you will

• conduct legal examinations and assessments of various (international) internal company legal matters
• support international tenders and new business projects from a legal perspective
• prepare and support the consultation, drafting, review and negotiation of, in particular, commercial and procurement contracts, service agreements and other legal documents
• provide legal support on various compliance-related questions in a national and international context as well as on services and products from a legal perspective
• conduct selected compliance reviews in coordination with the team
• handle regulatory procedures and potential court proceedings arising within the company together with the team

Preferred Profile

• Completed law degree
• Broad legal understanding as well as a strong interest in business-related questions and contexts
• Preferably knowledge of sanctions, anti-money laundering law, antitrust law, anti-corruption, compliance and/or corporate housekeeping as well as a general willingness to familiarise yourself with these and other unfamiliar areas at short notice
• Enjoy communicating with service providers as well as negotiating with international suppliers and customers
• Fluent knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
• High level of initiative and enjoyment of teamwork
• Interest in geopolitical contexts that influence the travel of various nationalities/countries
