LEGAL TRAINEE, LOYALTY
tosupportthe Legal Counsel, Privacy & Commercial in delivering embedded legal services to the Customer Loyalty function and broader cross-functional commercial scope. The trainee willoperateunder close supervision and structured delegation, contributing to legal capability development within the Loyalty function whilst developing practical in-house legal skills across data governance, commercialcontractingandregulatory compliance in a dynamic international airline environment.
You will be part of the Customer Loyalty team, working under the supervision of the Legal Counsel, Privacy & Commercial, and collaborating with colleagues across the Customer Unit and other Finnair functions.
This is a fixed-term,full-timetraineeship with adurationoffour (4) and up toseven (7)months,starting as soon as possible Longer duration is preferred.The exact starting time and duration will be agreed with the chosen candidate We work in a hybrid work model combining office and remote work with set weekdays at the office in Vantaa, Finland. Please note that as a trainee, you cannot work solely remotely, and you must be able to work full-time.The position is compensated at 3,000€ per month.
Main responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Legal Counsel, Privacy & Commercial,youwill
Support GDPR compliance and advise on data privacy and processing matters
Assistwith legal risk assessments related to customer data use, analytics,marketingand partnerships
Support review, drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, including loyalty partnerships
Prepare contract summaries and materials for loyalty ecosystem partnerships, co-brandedprogrammesand data-enabled initiatives
Contribute to internal legal guidance,templatesand governance documentation
Monitor and summarise regulatory developments in digital commerce, consumer protection,competitionand data governance
Collaborate with internal stakeholdersand external partners on legal matters asrequired
Our expectations:
Finnish LLB/LLM or BBAor similarstudent with a focus onprivacy,business law,orlegal affairs
Academic grounding in data protection,privacyor commercial law;Familiarity withEU and Finnishdata protection lawand understandingof commercial contract principlesis highly desirable
Prior exposure to in-house or law firm environments (internships, legal clinic work)andinterest in commercial structuring, regulatory compliance and risk managementis a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Finnish isconsideredan advantage
Ability to apply legal reasoning to practical, commerciallyminded solutionsand comfortable supporting multiple teams in a fast-changing environment
Open to feedback,mentoringand structuredsupervision
