Legal Technology Entry-Level Developer

TransPerfect is seeking motivated and tech-savvy Entry-Level Developers to join the team supporting Virtual Reef, TransPerfect’s internal business platform. This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about software development, problem-solving, and building scalable technology solutions in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for candidates with experience or academic exposure to web development technologies, databases, front-end frameworks, or QA automation platforms. Successful candidates will be eager to learn, adaptable, and excited to contribute to innovative internal tools and applications.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Virtual Reef platform

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and cross-functional teams on new features and improvements

• Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

• Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts to ensure platform reliability

• Contribute to front-end and/or back-end development projects

• Help document technical processes, workflows, and system updates

• Support ongoing optimization and performance improvement initiatives

• Stay current on emerging technologies and development best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred

• Exposure to or experience with one or more of the following:

  • PHP

  • MySQL

  • JavaScript

  • React

  • QA automation platforms such as Playwright or Selenium

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Basic understanding of software development principles and web technologies

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn

• Internship, academic project, or personal project experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git

• Experience working with APIs or databases

• Exposure to QA testing methodologies or automation frameworks

• Understanding of responsive web design and modern UI/UX principles
