Job Description

Volkswagen Bank is looking for a Legal Intern to join its Legal Department. The selected candidate will be required to have a strong focus on legal matters and will be responsible for the following activities:

Legal Activities:

  • Support in drafting and reviewing contracts and other legal documents;
  • Support in updating corporate powers of attorney;
  • Support in managing relationships with external advisors (law firms, lawyers, notaries), also ensuring compliance with all internal procedures and agreed contractual deadlines;
  • Support in managing litigation and passive legal proceedings;
  • Support in handling customer requests regarding reports made to Credit Information Systems (CIS);
  • Support in managing requests for banking inspections, both administrative and criminal;
  • Support in managing customer complaints, in coordination with other departments, and in handling customer appeals to the Banking and Financial Arbiter (ABF), the Insurance Arbiter (AAS), and reports/complaints to the Bank of Italy;
  • Support and assistance to the Head of Legal in their role as Data Protection Officer.

Position requirements and personal characteristics:

  • Knowledge of the relevant regulatory framework;
  • Degree in Law or equivalent;
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language;
  • Strong ability to manage stress and work towards objectives;
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
