A leading international law firm with offices across the United States and Asia is seeking a junior Legal Secretary to support its busy corporate team in Hong Kong. The firm advises a client base ranging from established multinationals to high-growth businesses, and its regional offices work closely together, so support staff enjoy genuine involvement in cross-border matters within a friendly, close-knit team.
You will provide full secretarial support to partners and fee earners handling M&A, private equity and capital markets transactions. Day to day, that means diary and travel management, document preparation and formatting, engagement letters and billing support, coordinating client meetings and video calls, maintaining practice-area filing and records, and assisting with closing sets and transaction bibles during live deals. You will also help with registry filings and client onboarding documentation as required.
The ideal candidate will have three to five years' legal secretarial experience, ideally gained in a corporate or transactional department. You will have fast and accurate typing, advanced Microsoft Word formatting skills, strong spoken and written English, and a proactive, organised approach. Cantonese is required and Mandarin would be an advantage, as would prior exposure to document management systems commonly used by international firms.
