Role Purpose:

Our ATSILS Toowoomba Office is seeking an experienced Criminal Law Legal Practitioner who is passionate about social justice. As one of Queensland's largest legal practices, we offer a dynamic opportunity for extensive court work, allowing you to advocate in a variety of courts, including youth jurisdiction.

About You

  • You must be admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Queensland and hold (or be eligible for immediate acquisition of) a current Practising Certificate.
  • Must be the holder (or be eligible for immediate application) of a current Queensland Government Blue Card prior to commencing work.
  • You will demonstrate a high level of professional service in all aspects of Criminal Law, covering both adult and youth jurisdictions.
  • A current Driver Licence and willingness to drive for work are essential.
  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years full-time post-admission experience, resilience to handle complex cases, and the ability to develop culturally sensitive service skills.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
