About the Role
Reporting to the Project Director and supervised by a senior member of the Office of the Crown Solicitor, the senior Legal Practitioner role is a key part of the project team and has primary responsibility for overseeing the legal and governance management relating to the Multipurpose Stadium. Supported by the Office of the Crown Solicitor and external legal counsel you will oversee the Multipurpose Stadium procurement and associated procurements and deliver legal strategy and day to day management and ensure MPDC’s commercial interests are protected and optimised.
As the senior Legal Practitioner based in the project office, you will influence and guide the project legal and governance management, working closely with the executive leadership team, site based project team, and specialist project advisors.
To be successful in this role you will be a respected legal advisor with experience in large, complex and novel infrastructure construction projects. You will be skilled at navigating complex environments, manage and mitigate risk, influence diverse stakeholders and have an outcome delivery approach.
Fixed term for 4 years from appointment.
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

In addition to the duties outlined in the Statement of Duties you would be expected to assist the Project Director and their team with a variety of legal tasks throughout the lifecycle of the Stadium project.
