Position: Legal Operations Business Analyst (6-Month Fixed-Term) London

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading organisation in the legal/professional services sector, is seeking a Legal Operations Business Analyst to join their London team on a six-month fixed-term contract. We are supporting them in finding a candidate who will thrive in this dynamic and analytical role.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of Legal Operations Business Partners, leveraging data to enhance the consultative model deployed across the organisation. The role blends data analysis with commercial insight to provide actionable insights that support key decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Legal Operations team to understand challenges and requirements.
  • Manage projects effectively, from scoping through to delivery, ensuring outputs meet briefs.
  • Gather and consolidate data from primary and secondary sources in a structured manner.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and develop models to generate actionable business insights.
  • Present findings clearly to a broad range of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Identify trends across multiple datasets to support project solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, best practice recommendations, and training to team members.
  • Conduct strategic analysis to support financial reporting and track project progress.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for professionals with experience in legal or professional services environments who understand partnership-driven cultures. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven Business Analyst experience in a commercial setting.
  • Ability to establish credible relationships at all levels of seniority.
  • Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Capability to translate objectives into tangible outputs that meet business needs.
  • Confidence in managing diverse stakeholders diplomatically.
  • Skill in communicating value, benefits, and results to drive engagement.
  • Project management experience, with understanding of human and behavioural factors.
  • Comfort advising, consulting, and influencing across situations.
  • Adaptability and confidence in navigating uncertainty.
  • Process mapping experience (advantageous).
  • Strong prioritisation skills during high-demand periods.
  • Collaborative approach, excellent multitasking ability, and attention to detail.

Education & Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and visualisation, including Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience with process mapping tools, such as Visio, is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Commercial Skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and financial awareness.
