The Legal Marketing & Business Development Specialist plays an integral role in advancing the firm's marketing, communications, and business development efforts. This individual will be responsible for executing strategic initiatives, developing compelling marketing materials, supporting client development activities, coordinating events and sponsorships, and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance the firm's growth and market presence. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, technologically curious, and possesses exceptional communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the firm's social media presence, including content creation, scheduling, audience engagement, analytics, and performance reporting.
- Draft, edit, and coordinate firm communications, including news releases, client alerts, invitations, announcements, and internal communications.
- Develop and maintain high-quality marketing collateral, including attorney biographies, practice descriptions, brochures, presentations, pitch materials, and other client-facing content.
- Plan and coordinate firm-sponsored events, seminars, receptions, conferences, networking opportunities, and community initiatives from concept through post-event follow-up and evaluation.
- Manage sponsorship and charitable contribution activities, including processing requests, coordinating advertising opportunities, overseeing logo usage, tracking commitments, and facilitating attorney participation.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), pitches, and other business development proposals.
- Support attorneys in preparing presentations, speaking materials, and strategic client development initiatives.
- Conduct market, industry, competitor, and client research to identify opportunities that support strategic growth and business development objectives.
- Support client feedback and experience programs, including information gathering, data analysis, reporting, and identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships.
- Maintain the department's project management systems and coordinate marketing calendars, deadlines, events, and workflow processes.
- Support firmwide strategic initiatives, including cross-selling efforts, client targeting strategies, and market expansion opportunities.
Assist with the implementation and ongoing utilization of approved AI solutions and legal technology platforms designed to enhance marketing and business development effectiveness.
