Job Description

Wurth Elektronik is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our legal team for a twenty-four week internship. This is a unique opportunity for a law student to gain hands-on experience in a corporate setting, working closely with the legal department on a variety of compliance and regulatory matters. The intern will undertake the project to upload existing contracts within the contract management software, do administrative tasks, organize files, assist where needed for research on various local and international regulatory changes, and intermittently review contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Upload existing contracts to the CMS
  • Assist with the review, drafting, and organization of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and Purchase Agreements.
  • Support an AI authorship for streamlining risk assessments processes and compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze regulations affecting corporate operations.
  • Assist in the research of tools for tracking and proactively notifying the team of local and international regulatory changes.
  • Consolidate organizational norms into company statements to improve efficiency for contract responses.
  • Help organize and maintain legal files and documentation.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned by the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school or completing a pre-law degree is preferred.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, and risk assessment processes is beneficial.
  • Strong interest in corporate law, compliance, and international regulations.
