Our client is a well-established organisation in Malta looking for a motivated Legal Intern to join their Compliance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student to gain practical experience and develop their legal knowledge within a professional business environment.

Position Summary

The Legal Intern will support the legal team with day-to-day legal activities, legal research, documentation, and communication with different departments and stakeholders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Legal team with daily legal tasks and activities.
• Conduct legal research as required.
• Monitor developments in legislation and case law and assist with relevant analysis.
• Assist in preparing legal documentation and reviewing agreements.
• Communicate with various departments and stakeholders across the organisation.
• Maintain an organised and up-to-date legal filing system.
• Gain practical exposure to transport, employment, commercial, competition, and corporate law matters.
• Support the Compliance Department with other legal and administrative duties as required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Law degree and have successfully completed at least the first year of the course.
• Basic knowledge of office administration and management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English.
• Good legal research and analytical abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Adaptable and willing to learn.
• Ability to communicate professionally with different stakeholders.
• Good legal writing and documentation skills.
