  • The Legal Intern will support the Legal Team of Recor Medical, Inc. The Legal Department provides centralized legal services and support for Recor Medical and its affiliates and subsidiaries worldwide. This position requires a self-motivated, flexible candidate who likes a challenge, with desire to learn. We are looking for a student interested in learning
    • How to build cross-functional business relationships
    • How to prioritize, shift gears, and project manage many legal tasks at once
    • How to interpret risk tolerance assessments and learn risk advisement strategies
    • A wide variety of legal tasks through direct and indirect exposure to:
      • litigation and discovery support
      • building privacy program notices
      • regulatory and compliance issues
      • intellectual property projects
      • marketing and to name a few!
    • Tasks range in length (couple hours to couple weeks) and level (strategic vs. tactical) and provide a true picture of in-house legal life.
  • We strongly believe that hard work, a sense of humor and strong business relationships with internal and external colleagues is the key to a thriving in-house legal department, and are hoping to mentor a legal intern to be great teammate who is dedicated, detail oriented, and passionate about understanding our products and services and who has a “whatever it takes” attitude.

Requirements

  • JD Candidate – 1st or 2nd year with passing grades
  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills to prioritize multiple competing projects, and follow through and meet quick turnaround times
  • Ability to understand general business operations and issues beyond the scope of basic legal issues
  • Clear communicator with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Team player with common sense, a good sense of humor and a desire to learn
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, 365, etc.), Adobesign, Internet)

Nice to Haves

  • Legal experience in a firm or experience in healthcare field
  • Science or Engineering degree
  • Functional knowledge with Co-Pilot (Studio) and/or other AI Power Assistance tools

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.

Radiation Safety Requirement

Certain field-based roles at Recor Medical require work in environments where radiation sources (e.g., x-ray equipment) are in use. Employees in these roles will be issued a personal dosimetry badge to monitor occupational exposure and are required to wear it in accordance with company policy and applicable regulatory standards. This program is designed to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and to maintain radiation exposure at levels that are As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA). Additional guidance and protective equipment, as necessary, will be provided as part of onboarding and ongoing safety training.
