MDK is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern who is ready to learn, contribute, and grow in a professional legal environment. We’re looking for someone who is organized, curious, and eager to take ownership of their work. The right candidate is dependable, comfortable managing multiple tasks, and excited to gain real exposure to how legal cases move from start to finish. In this position, you’ll support a team of legal professionals by preparing basic documents, updating case management systems, communicating with clients and courts, and helping ensure cases progress efficiently. You won’t just observe. You’ll actively contribute while learning the structure, pace, and expectations of a law firm environment. This internship is designed to give you meaningful experience, build your confidence, and help you understand the full legal process in action.

Your Role in Action
Prepare and process basic legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
Utilize our case management system to track case progress and support timely movement of files
Update internal systems and client communication portals as work is completed
Process mail received by the firm
Communicate with clients and court personnel to obtain information and follow up on filings
Prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and support team goals
Gain exposure to the full legal process and develop a working understanding of how cases progress
Contribute to a collaborative team environment and actively participate in firm initiatives
Other administrative support as needed

QualificationsYour Background & Skills
Requires a high school diploma and currently enrolled in an undergraduate program
One or more years of general work experience preferred
Basic skills with Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and accountability
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
A collaborative mindset and willingness to support team goals

Your Schedule & Benefits
This position is based in our Columbus, OH office and requires approximately 20 hours of work per week during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. We are looking for an Intern who is eager to grow with us over an extended period. While we understand that academic schedules may change, this opportunity is best suited for candidates who can commit beyond a short-term or semester-only role.
