Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers — and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.
Let's be honest, you probably didn’t realize eBay is more than just the marketplace for things people love. eBay is a fintech platform in the making, and we’re looking for an experienced payments product lawyer to help us get there. With tens of billions of dollars flowing through our marketplace each year, payments are at the heart of the eBay experience—and we’re continuing to invest in new ways to make buying, selling, and moving money simpler, safer, and more seamless around the world.
This isn't just any product counsel role. It's a chance to join the e-commerce OG at a pivotal moment and help shape the next generation of payments and financial services for one of the world’s largest marketplaces.
This is not a plug-and-play role. We need an experienced, curious, and pragmatic product lawyer who can get into the weeds with our Product and Engineering teams, understand how our payments products actually work, and help turn complex legal and regulatory requirements into thoughtful product solutions. You’ll advise on products from idea to launch and beyond, tackle novel questions at the intersection of technology, commerce, and financial services, and help us find a path forward when the answer isn’t obvious.
You will have a real seat at the table.
You'll be a trusted legal co-pilot to our Payments Product and Engineering teams as they build and evolve the products that power commerce on eBay. You'll get involved early—not just when a product is ready to launch—and help teams think through legal and regulatory considerations as part of how products are designed and built.
This is your chance to make a tangible impact at a company that's been a household name for decades but is still evolving every day. Payments sit at the center of the eBay marketplace, connecting millions of buyers and sellers around the world—and the products we build have a direct impact on how easily and safely they can do business.
Our mission is to create economic opportunity for all, helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, and individuals succeed. Promoting environmental and social responsibility is part of our DNA, powering a circular economy by extending the life of products through our marketplace and investing in sustainable business practices.
We care about fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, recognizing that different perspectives drive innovation and create a more equitable environment for both employees and sellers. And we're leaning in hard on AI and other advanced technologies, providing a challenging and dynamic environment to work on cutting-edge projects that transform the e-commerce experience.
We're building something truly new. Come join us.
