Your Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership and governance of the Export Control & Sanctions Governance function, including the definition and continuous development of global standards, governance principles, and advisory frameworks
  • Provision of expert export control and sanctions advice to executive management, regional leadership, and business units to enable confident, compliant decision-making in complex and dynamic environments
  • Global horizon scanning and regulatory monitoring to identify emerging legal, geopolitical, and sanctions-related developments and assess their business impact at an early stage
  • Risk assessment and scenario analysis to anticipate compliance exposures, evaluate potential implications for the business, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures
  • Guidance and oversight for M&A, financing, and other strategic transactions, including support on transaction structures, due diligence, and related compliance considerations
  • Ownership of governance standards and decision frameworks to ensure consistent, robust, and enterprise-aligned application of Export Control & Sanctions requirements
  • Development of dynamic feedback loops and real-time advisory capabilities to support fast, informed, and strategic decision-making across the organization
  • Promotion of advanced analytics and data-driven monitoring to strengthen foresight, transparency, and the effectiveness of compliance risk management
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management to align legal, compliance, business, and regional interests and ensure Export Control & Sanctions remains an enabler of business continuity and growth
  • Continuous improvement of the governance model to ensure compliance remains agile, resilient, and fit for a globally integrated organization

Your Qualifications

  • Successfully completed Master’s degree in business, economics, or law, or an equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in export control and compliance in an international or export-control-related environment
  • Solid knowledge of national export control law as well as U.S. export control and other international regulations
  • Experience in specialist advising, training, and implementing export control requirements
  • Confident use of export control software, including experience in its application and further development
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, decisiveness/assertiveness and cross-cultural competence
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience collaborating with international stakeholders and handling global export control topics
