Job Description

As a Legal Counsel Global Disputes, you will support Nordex’s global Legal department in managing complex disputes arising across international business operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams and external counsel, you will help assess legal risks, develop dispute strategies, and drive commercially sound resolutions. You will be part of an international Legal team supporting stakeholders across multiple regions and functions. This position is offered on a fixed-term basis as a parental leave cover.

YOUR TASKS

  • As a Legal Counsel Global Disputes, you manage complex disputes and claims arising from Production, Service, Logistics, Project Management, EPC activities, and supply chain operations
  • You develop legal and commercial strategies for claim management, litigation, arbitration, and settlement discussions
  • You coordinate and manage external legal counsel to ensure effective support in dispute proceedings across different jurisdictions
  • You advise cross-functional teams during commercial settlement negotiations and support the development of pragmatic solutions
  • You assess litigation and arbitration risks and provide strategic legal guidance to management and business functions
  • You contribute to best practices, training initiatives, and template development to strengthen dispute prevention and contract execution processes
  • You collaborate with international stakeholders to support effective claims management and dispute resolution activities

YOUR PROFILE

  • Excellent academic legal qualifications and admission to practice law in an EU jurisdiction or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in private practice or an international corporate environment with a focus on litigation and arbitration
  • Proven experience in risk and claim management, including the handling of complex formal dispute processes
  • Experience working with complex commercial contracts in an international environment; FIDIC experience is an advantage
  • Ability to analyse complex legal matters while maintaining a strong commercial perspective and communicating effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation, communication, organisational, planning, and presentation skills
  • Excellent English language skills; additional European language skills and the ability to negotiate contracts in those languages are advantageous
  • Insurance-related knowledge and willingness to travel are considered a plus
