About the role:

*This role is a 5month Mat Leave Cover position*

As our Legal Counsel you will play a pivotal role in assisting in providing legal and commercial advice and support to the business in Australia, UK, South Africa and Canada. In addition, you will support the management team in achieving its corporate goals and ensuring that the business operates in accordance with relevant laws and that contractual and commercial risk is minimised. To work closely with the sales team in negotiating key contracts with clients, and with central business functions in negotiating agreements with suppliers

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

• Providing highly effective and timely legal advice to business managers in relation to general commercial contracts

• Identifying and managing legal risks in the context of the overall commercial plans of the business

• Drafting, negotiating, amending and reviewing a wide range of legal documents including master services

• agreements, software licences, support and maintenance agreements, consultancy and confidentiality agreements.

• Assist with managing the intellectual property portfolios including trademarks, and intra-group arrangements

What you will bring:

• Fully qualified solicitor

• 4+ years PQE (or equivalent experience)

• In house experience preferred but not essential

• Accurate technical legal advice

• Strong negotiation skills

• Commercial acumen

• Excellent free hand drafting skills
