Job Description

We are looking to strengthen our legal team with a Legal Counsel who wants to build and deepen their legal expertise by working at a listed company in our Corporate & Finance Law team. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who already has a solid foundation in capital markets and stock exchange law and is motivated to grow into a broader, business‑critical role, also working with various corporate, regulatory, banking and finance-related matters.

As a Legal Counsel in our Corporate & Finance Law team, you will join a collaborative, high‑caliber in‑house team working closely with management and the business as well as your colleagues in the broader Legal team. The role offers meaningful exposure to complex, high‑impact matters typical of a listed company and opportunity to take on increased responsibility. You will work closely with our commercial teams, especially the Investor Relations team, and be involved in business discussions from day one. The role offers great opportunities for professional development and specialization in various areas of law, while also allowing you to work in an exciting and innovative banking environment.

NOBA Legal consists of 15 legal counsels with various areas of expertise, based in Stockholm, Oslo, and Helsinki. Corporate & Finance Law is a specialist team within NOBA Legal.

What we are offering:

  • An exciting legal role where you can develop across many different areas of law.

  • The opportunity to work with complex matters and transactions in an innovative and agile environment.

  • A competent, close-knit team with high ambitions, where you are given great freedom with responsibility.

  • To support work-life balance, we offer a hybrid workplace, with at least two days per week in the office.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the business in matters relating to capital markets and stock exchange law, company law and corporate governance, as well as banking and finance law.

  • Contribute to assessments and preparations related to insider matters and market disclosures.

  • Act as secretary to the Board of group companies.

  • Assist with and advise on the bank’s financing transactions, including existing and new structured finance deals and bond issues. Assist the business in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We are looking for you who:

  • Has a Swedish law degree.

  • Has at least 3 years of relevant legal experience.

  • Has background from a law firm or a listed company.

  • Has solid experience in capital markets and stock exchange law.

  • Is curious and open to work broader within corporate, regulatory, banking and finance law (with such experience considered a merit).

  • Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.

To thrive and perform well in the role, we believe you need to:

  • Have a clear commercial focus, be solution‑oriented, and take a pragmatic approach.

  • Be able to work independently and drive your own initiatives, as well as collaborate effectively within different teams.

  • Be able to communicate complex legal issues in an understandable way.

  • Be motivated by working in a fast-paced, innovative and agile organization.

In addition to this, it is important to us that you recognize yourself in our values: we are wholehearted, we collaborate and we take the lead.

Practical information:
Start: By agreement.
Location: Stockholm.
Form of employment: Permanent position with probation period.
Extent: Full-time.
