Responsible for providing legal advice and guidance, as well as company secretarial management, for the Medline entities in India; ensuring compliance with prevailing legislative requirements, and thereby minimize Medline’s legal risk and exposure.

To act as a generalist in-house counsel providing timely and reliable legal counsel to the Medline entities in India

To draft, review, negotiate and advise on a range of commercial agreements including vendor, service provider, confidentiality and employment related contracts

To assist in developing, reviewing, updating and implementing internal legal and compliance policies, templates and processes

To provide legal counsel to Medline’s Human Resources team regarding employment related concerns and disputes

To act as the company secretary for Medline entities in India, and provide effective company secretarial guidance and management

To monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise stakeholders on business impact and required actions

To maintain in an organized, effective and confidential manner, all legal and compliance records

To oversee and implement directives and strategy from regional and international legal, compliance, and privacy management

To act as a primary contributor in the triage of, and subsequent response to, any compliance issues that may arise

Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized university
2
Qualified legal professional with relevant post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal team
3
Strong knowledge of Indian corporate, commercial, contract, labor, and regulatory laws

Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and handling legal risk in a business environment
5
Excellent corporate citizen
