This is a 12-month parental leave cover opportunity for a junior lawyer to join Deloitte's Office of the General Counsel in Sydney (preferred) or Melbourne and support high-impact commercial work across new products, services and alliances.
What will your typical day look like?
Across a varied portfolio, you'll advise on and negotiate commercial arrangements including alliances, sponsorships, reseller models, events, supply and licensing agreements. The work spans business-facing legal support, contract review and drafting, and helping stakeholders navigate non-standard terms with clear, pragmatic advice.
A big part of the role is helping the business move with confidence. Your advice will support go-to-market activity, new products and services, and third-party arrangements that are closely tied to Deloitte's broader commercial strategy.
Working alongside experienced lawyers in a supportive team, you'll build judgment quickly while still having backup when you need it. You'll also contribute to process improvements, negotiation positions, precedents and projects including the implementation of AI-based legal tools.
The Office of the General Counsel is an award-winning, innovative team that provides legal advice to Deloitte Australia and Deloitte Asia Pacific. This team supports a wide range of commercial and strategic matters, with this role sitting in the new products, services and alliances space. It's a strong fit if you enjoy intellectually rigorous work, practical problem-solving and building trusted relationships across the business.
